I’m collecting stories of other musicians who started late. As a cellist who started after she was born* I am, by definition, late.

Did you know Joni Mitchell started late, with no formal musical training? Which allowed her to invent these soundscapes without traditional chords or roots? I want to be Joni Mitchell, but the Nelle Flowers version. I want to offer what I have to offer and not get myself trained out of me.

MUSIC!

You can find me setting up a music stand in local parks, farmers’ markets, sidewalks, river sides, and trails. One of my deep joys is surprising people with music. Music isn’t for the fancy venues it’s often packaged in and it’s not for corporations. Keeping it weird and keeping it accessible!

BAD BUNNY -
drummer for a small set

Two youths at the farmers’ market requested Bad Bunny on cello. Naturally I said yes! Looking for a drummer to play ~3 songs on 9/12 with two cellists and a violinist.

FOR FUN -
varied instrumentalists for improv

I’m looking for more local (N Berkshires) musicians willing to turn their brains off and co-create.
